About Shayna
Hi there, my name is Shayna. I strive to instill hope in my clients that they can live a life worth living. Many of us have gone through painful experiences, many out of your control, and learned quick fixes to cope with this pain. Unfortunately, these quick fixes only work temporarily, and the pain remains there under the surface. My goal is to help you develop skills to handle such painful emotions so you can live your life worth living!
If you are suffering from depression or anxiety or if you struggle to connect with people and maintain relationships, I can help you learn how to understand yourself and your unique needs and teach you skills on how to create a life that works for you. Along my journey of learning clinical counseling, I have gained awareness my own struggles with intense emotions and unsuccessful coping skills. Seeing where I was, and where I am now, I know recovery is possible.

As an AuDHD'er myself, I combine my lived experience and my vast training to provide the most empathetic and effective strategies to guide you to authentically living according to your needs and values. I seek to provide a safe space, without judgement for all of my clients. Clients can expect a nonjudgmental stance, as well as authenticity, warmth, and humor. It is important for me that my clients understand that I am not “better” than them and I work on building skills alongside them. I highly value feedback so I encourage clients to express themselves freely. As a client, you are the captain of your life.
